Enclosure size for a juvenile

Hey everyone, i'm thinking about buying myself a columbian boa and was wondering what size enclosure i could keep them in up to a year old? or maybe even 6 months...I bought my first snake a ball python a month ago now i'm hooked and i want something with a more impressive size. As he grows i'll be making him a custom enclosure so that is not a worry Thanks for the help!

It also depends on if it's a female or a male. Remember, they are all born about the same size, but within the first year, a male will get to be 3-4 feet, but the female will get to be 5-6 feet.

A 4x2x1 should be ok for either gender. They are pretty shy, and will spend most of their time curled up in their hide box anyway.
