ceramic tile?

I've been doing some research on the slate/ceramic tile as a substrate, i think i'm going to switch my geckos into it but what does everyone thing about snakes using it? I have a cali king, bp, and a rainbow boa. It seems like it would be way easier to clean but might not hold the humidity? Any suggestions would be great! I presently use a type of turf but it's getting pretty gross.

I was considering it for my blue tongued skink. I'm happy with my leo's on paper towels, but I can't find anything I like for my blue tongue. If I wanted to go to Home Depot to see what this stuff looks like, what exactly do I ask for/look for?

If you read the post you wrote up called "substrate for leos", Alicewave posted a picture of her tank w/ the tile in it so you have an idea of what it looks like! It's nice, i like it!

thanks pookie. i knew it was in a thread somewhere, i just couldn't remember where. so, when i look for it, i just look for "ceramic/slate tiles" i'm assuming. now that im thinking about it, tho, i don't think my blue tongue will like it, after all. being as big as he is, he likes traction under his feet. oh well. maybe i will look into it for the leo's. ive been just sticking to the paper towels lately.
