Question Sudan Plated Lizard - Need info bad

I can't find much info on the care of these lizards. I found a place that sells them supposedly CB, but I need to know the following:

Is 24"long X 12" wide tank big enough for one? (it's a baby now)

How often do they need to be fed?

Are they social, unlike snakes? Should I get the two babies that are avail, or just the one?

I have tons more questions, but I think that's all I need to know to start. I have found some pretty vague information on the net regarding substrate heating and diet.

Does anyone here have one of those? I would love to talk to someone who knows from experience.

Thanks a bunch!!

I posted on the other thread, but mine has crickets always available (well, she gets 10-15 big ones to last her the week), a mouse once a week, and veggies and fruit every two days. I need to cut back though, she's getting sausage-y

I'd say your tank is fine for a baby, but they get bigger and need more room as adults.

HM, but what's the max space he will need? I would hate to have something that I eventually can't keep in my bedroom. I live with my mom (blah!) and I have to keep my other tanks in my room! :-P

Maybe by the time he needs an upgrade, I will have my own place. In the meantime, I think I just need to remodel. The rack I have is all the wrong dimensions for keeping tanks on....

At adult size, you're going to want about a 4' by 2' cage.

Rockin'! If all goes well I'll have him by the end of next week. Thanks for all the advice! Brandon, I saw your post on the other thread, your little guy is adorable!
