Very thin black around the saddles but as far as I know the dark wash doesn't occur in hypos (could be different with the different hypo variants now - I am not sure). Are his belly scales black checkers or diluted? That might help to sort it out. I suspect a normal based on the thin saddle edges looking black to me rather than diluted. Nice big snake though,

You have the nicest corns! I have a male here (my first snake) that looks just like that and I was wondering the same thing. Of course it's the only one I don't have a pic of in my gallery.
