Red Deer Show
I'm just posting a few things about the Red Deer that will be on Aug 30,31. It is going to be held at the Westerner Park, 4847A - 19 ST. It is very easy to find, just off HWY 2. Once again I have 10,000+ sq feet of room. If needed I can get up to 30,000. Now that would be nice to see. I am working on a few new idea's for this year since it will be a two day show.
One is that I will be getting my head shaved for the Canadian Cancer Society on Sunday morning. I am taking donations for this event. One idea was the highest donation could have the chance to run the clippers and do the shave them self's. Not 100% sure about this one yet. If you would like to make a donation please e-mail me and will fill out the form.
Second is that IF I can pull it off I will be having a BBQ for the venders and family Saturday after the show. I still have a few things to work out about this one yet. I would like to have a donation box at the BBQ and be able to give the funds to the SPCA or The Medicine River Wildlife Center. I will be contacting these people and try and work something out.
Third is the door prizes once again if time permits I will be doing this again. Last year 2 prizes were given out every 10 min threw out the show. A vendor and a public attendee got a prize. Most prizes were over $20.
Forth I have the 3 local radio stations advertising for the show also. I will have one of them at the show Saturday morning from 9-1 doing the live on location at the show. I have been asked to come back to also do the morning shows at all three stations.
As of today our table count is 55 tables with more to come. We should be able to break the 80 mark very easy this year. there are many new vendors coming this year and rumors of many more new ones along with the ones from last year. Here is a list of vendors that I have now.

I am REALLY looking forward to this show. I'm even saving my cash and buying aquariums so I don't walk out empty handed. If this is anything like the spring show, it should be an absolutely kick-a$$ event. If I can find it. I'm not very familiar with Red Deer.

Trust me, it's easy to find! Drive north, and it's a right hand turn just as you are entering the city limits. It's a big complex. You litterally can't miss it...
So who else is attending???

Ok now for a little more about the show. If anyone is interested in camping out with a camper there are a few spots left right next to the Westerner Park, walking distance to the show check out the link for more info.
http://www.westerner.ab.ca/rvpark.htm
The BBQ is a go and will be held right in Red Deer at Rotary Park the largest play ground in Red Deer. It has a large gazebo for the BBQ and a huge park for the kids. Very easy to find. There will be pop, hotdogs, hamburgers and salads and more just for attending the show.
I am still working on some more ideas for the show to make it way more interesting such as a DVD/VCR combo just for showing up. One draw on Sunday and you could be the winner. Plus more when I get the fine details worked out.
There are 70 tables now booked and still waiting on some reply's from others. The Westerner will be very busy that weekend with a car show, Red Deer Rebel hockey training camp and a horse show all taking place in the same building. I am going to try and work something out with the car show people to help with more advertising for the shows to bring more people in. This can be an all day family thing at the Westerner. Man am I getting pumped for this show. For more info give me a shout.

Ok I have to say I was misinformed about the car show. It was the beginning of the month not the end of the month. They got their weekends mixed up. Damn I was so looking forward to do some drooling over cars also. So I did the check again the other day and everything else is still a go that weekend but no car show. Sorry about that one.
