Kinda worried..

My female laid her last clutch on 4/30/2003 and has yet to lay her second clutch. She is very very gravid but is not laying. I am wondering if she is egg bound. I forget how long is the normal time between clutches. I think it's something like 20 days. Here it is 33 days later and no eggs. Also, I see a blue dot about the size of the dime on her stomach, typical of crypto. Can this be seen on gravid females aswell? I have no clue how she would have caught crypto. I've had her ever since she was a month old and never had any problems with her. I keep the cage extremely clean and everything she needs is available to her. Any ideas on this?

Could be crypto but one of the eggs looks like it sitting too high up her torso. Usually you see them just above the hips. I'm inclined to thin egg binding in which case she should see a vet right away.

I would agree. I think that leo is egg bound. Her under belly looks normal to me. I would get her to a vet.

Whew, tough call! The only way to insure she is ok is to take her to a vet. All any of us here can do is tell you what we think. Let us know what the doc says!
