Talking Hopeless addict.

So I went into my LPS on saturday and there was this beautiful adult bp just sitting there. I guess some folks just didn't want him anymore. What was I supposed to do? Just leave him there? Heck no. Hee, hee. So I purchased him and they are holding onto him for me until this saturday so I can get a cage for him and everything. He's just gorgeous! Looks to be about 3 1/2' long, and he just went through a shed. (perfect timing huh?) They said that the people who had him before were feeding him live and they are working on converting him. Hopefully that won't be a problem. Sorry, I am just so excited, I had to share this with people who know the feeling! Hee, hee, all my friends at work look at me like I am crazy. Well anyhoo! Happy herping all!

He was $119. I know thats a lot and I could have gotten one for less, but it was kind of a "love at first sight" thing. I am really good friends with the folks at the LPS and they told me there were some guys in earlier looking at him and they thought they would be back for him and they really didn't think that these guys would take good care of him. So...you know how that goes. For some it's something that makes them look cool or weird or something. The last thing I want to see is this incredible creature in the hands of people like that. They may find another one, but they are not getting this guy.

Omg, I know, it's horrible. But, we have been talking about getting another ball for the longest time and we wanted a good size one, so this worked out perfectly! Right now, this week cannot go fast enough for me, I can't WAIT to bring him home!

If the ball was just droped off at the pet store you could have braught the price down and baught a rubermaid to house it temporarely cause I would not risk leaving my newily paied herp in a pet store.

I totally agree with chrondro, you never know what you might bring home, the longer he/she stays in the pet shop, the greater the risk of parasitic infection. Not meant to scare you, just a sort of heads up for next time. Best of luck with your new addition.
