these little guys have more names than you can shake a stick at, Mesobuthus martensii (double i), Buthus martensii, Buthus martensi, Chinese Armored scorp, Chinese Golden scorp, Chinese Sichuan scorp, Asian Golden, and still others lol. I 'think' this is the current accepted one.
er AND lol, these are one of the few social species living well in groups but have a fairly low LD50 ~1.45 I think compared to Western diamondback at about ~4.2 (here lower is more potent) so not pleasant to say the least.
Sweet1 That is one cool scorpion. I love how certain species get changed around so much. They just never know how to classify some species! Great scorp.
