Plz help horrible shed

Hi every one I have two quick questions one since I got my burm about five months ago she has never had a complete shed in one piece though the last three times She got it all off by herself in pieces. The last two including her shed today I had to help her. Today she had a horrible shed. My question is why is this happening? I know it could be humidity but I keep her humidity level at 50% but when her eyes get cloudy I raise it to 60% is this the correct humidity level. I also heard ticks can stress them out not sure if this is true but I looked over her and found none. The temp is 85 with a basking of about 91.

When you see her go blue, spray her twice a day to keep her skin moist and pliable. That should help some. Does she have a water tub she can soak in during this time?

Actually, I keep my burms and my ball pythons humidity level around 60%, with a rise to 65-70% during shed. This helps, as they shed in one piece.

Yea.Raise the humidity. Spray the tank with water twice a day and put a large water dish in his tank.(large enough for your Burm to soak.) Hope this helps.-Tom

A large rubbermaid container with an entry (in upper part of side) and containing moist/wet spagnum (I usually keep 1/4 of the container on the heat mat), can do wonders for helping sheds and is much easier to regulate than the whole enclosure.

Do sheds get worse as the snake gets bigger. I would think it would be harder for them to have a whole/complete shed as they grow.
