Talking Woohoo!!!

hi!

Heres my little story!

I was cleaning the paper towels in my little male's tank when he came running out. So I took out my hand because i tought he was going to bite me. When he went back in his hide I layed my hand in the bottom of the tank and left it there. He came out slowly, sniffed all my fingers and then he walked on my hand twice!!! I was stuned when he did that because before today when I came close to his tank he would run in his hide.
So from now on I will repeat this until he lets me take him out!

thats it!

Congrats!

I'm still working with my little girl, she sometimes walks on my hand but not often and not to let me pick her up. But then, when I do pick her up, she is calm?!! She doesn't like to be handled much but seems to like my boyfriend much more!!! Makes me jealous!!! Oh well, she's a daddy's girl!

Thats great! I find once you get them out of the tank they calm down much more. So if he goes on your hand I would just slowely lift him up and out, as long as he isn't one of those geckos that like to jump off. Good luck and if he makes a chirping noise while in your hand it usually means he is uncomfortable, so make your hand flat and level as possible.
