Ball Python Fast May Be Over!!!
I have two adult males that may have broken their fast tonight! The first one had not eaten since September 29th, the other December 4th. The first one I believe was originally an import. It took a live fuzzy rat to get him going. The other took a F/T fuzzy. Next week will be the true test when I try them on a couple of F/T hoppers!
Wish me luck!
Trevor

I hope they didn't loose too much weight, over the food strike. I think that a lot of balls quit their huger strike around this time (March, April).
Anyway, good luck next week.:flick:

The smaller of the male lost something like 40g or so. The other one might have droped about 20g.
Next week will be the test.
Cheers,
Trevor

this seems to be the time for eating, my albino male ball, Kane, who hasn't eaten in 10 weeks, also took food on Tuesday night. Hopefully his fast is over. The funny thing is though, over the 10 weeks, he only lost 6 grams.

I've learned not to sweat over by balls any more, as they always seem to bounce back...
Good Luck

I sold a female last year that would stop eating in Sept. and stay off until June. She was 7 and did this since the begining. Cheapest snake I ever had.
Cheers,
Trevor

Well so far so good on Wed. One took a F/T with no problem. I'll try the other one on next Wed.
Cheers,
