Heating pad

[Hello All. I just set up my tank and it is sitting on a glass table.my question is the underside of the glass is very hot but the bottom of the tank where my Pythons bed is barely warm. Should I move it to a wood table? I'm new to the snake world as this is my first snake, Thanks

No worries.

Ok, you'll want a gap there. Without a gap it can actually cause the glass to crack.

And even more important is the thermostat question. Is your heat mat regulated by a thermostat?
