My team has been working on a products were we used a snake skin image for the grip of a revolver. We chose this image because liked how it looked. Now I can not identify which snake this is. I search all the rattle snakes of america and went through some identifications files from a university but can not match it.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
It looks more python to me, but super hard to tell from such a small sample size of the snake.
Sorry I couldn't be more help, somebody more knowledgeable than me may be able to help. Good luck.
The scales look too small and square to be a rattler. granted i've never seen one in person, however from a google image search, a rattlesnakes scales look like teardrops.
