Hiding after eating
I was just wondering if it was normal for my BRB to hide after eating?

She is in her cool hide which is 77-80°is that still ok?

Straight after eating isn't normal, I wouldn't think, unless there is something different about boas I don't know.

I don't keep BRBs but I have some snakes that will hang out on their cool sides after eating. I have others that head straight to their warm hides after a meal. As long as your snake has a proper thermal gradient it will find the place where it's most comfortable.

It doesn't sound like cause for concern. While most boas and pythons do like to lay on the heat after a meal, Brazilian rainbow boas prefer slightly cooler temps, and seem less likely to utilize a hot spot.

I will agree with this. My BRB spends 90% of its time in the cold hide.

Ok thank you that makes me feel better 😃 I was worried that maybe the hot side was to warm cuz she is on her cool side almost all the time

Yup, normal. A lot times, they won't go straight to the heat. They're already making some heat naturally through the digestive process. Once their digestion stabilizes, they may move closer to the heat, but I definitely wouldn't worry about it. As long as they have the gradient, they can regulate their own temperatures.
