Elaphe climacophora - Japanese Rat Snake

Another acquisition from last weekend - my Elaphe climacophora. Very much a baby but still a lovely snake. Parents are the most stunning blue phase I've seen

Re: Elaphe climacophora - Japanese Rat Snake

Looking good, from watching my pair grow I'd say that one looks to be a little older than mine were when they arrived. I house them in tubs with aspen and a water bowl large enough to soak in, but have never seen them soak. Sheds are always perfect. The female prefers a hide on the bottom, while the male usually hangs out in the open, coiled up on his shelf.
