Substrate

Ok so right now I am soaking the tank, hide and water dish in bleach/water to get it nice and clean for my new addition today or tomorrow. I bought a normal brick of Eco earth for my Leo humidity hide and have after sitting out all night still moist and a crap load left. Will this make a good bedding for a boa or python? Ive never used it before as Ive always used paper towels or mulch style.

Thanks

Re: Substrate

Perfect for a boa. Depends on the python but nothing a bit of mixing with other stuff wouldn't solve. To be fair even for the boa I'd mix it 70/30 with some topsoil.

You don't need to limit it to just your Leo's humidity hide either. Mixed with a good amount of play sand and a bit of fertiliser free topsoil you've got a lovely natural substrate for it too
