Re: snake names
i usually name my snakes after someone who has inspired me, has achieved something great, or is a great artist.
Ive names my snakes after bands, sociologists, poets, mathematicians, etc.
I`ve looked on sites that explain the meaning of certain names to try and find something suitable but i always end up picking a name of someone i find awesome.
maybe try making a list of the names of people that you find amazing or inspiring and see if anything fits. or just name him something badass.
since you want suggestions, and i assume he`s a male, my suggestion is Maynard, after Maynard James Keenan.

Re: snake names
I have a terrible time with names...it took me a week to name my dog Lucy lol. My female corns are named after Japanese snake demons (Kiyohime, Kuragehime), my male corn is Omnom, my ball python is named Nile, my rubber boa is named Mimizu (Japanese for earthworm), my hognose is Hogwort and my hog island boa is Aleister

Re: snake names
As you can tell I have no theme; unless it's old man... If it's a boy name it Hank and if it's a girl Thelma...

Re: snake names
Whenever I see yellow/brown snakes I remember when I was a kid and we had Banana Toffee, they were to die for, so for me I might go Toffee or BT.
My new SD Retic Suntiger has been named and he isn't even here yet lol, but being a Winnie The Pooh fan I had to name him 'Tigger'

Re: snake names
I've a carpet python called Makeena (Gentle One in Kenyan) and a Jungle Jag called Sagira (Little One in Egyptian).
I wait for a few weeks and find out their personalities before giving them a name.
Makeena got hers because she is so laid back and Sagira got hers because she was only a baby
