Chomper - Pacman Frog
- Honey, let's go to reptile expo, we need to buy mices for our snakes, but don't worry, we will not buy any animals as I only need three snakes for breeding, and we don't have place for new lizards.
*half hour later after we bought snake food we are looking around what people are having on their tables*
- Look, on few tables there are these frogs you always wanted, maybe you want early Christamas present?
- YES.
Well, that's the story of Chomper, she/he is a small Pacman Frog that will be bigger than my hand in future <3 There was also a lovely mint brother/sister but since it was smaller the breeder told us that it would be better to buy another one (I'm really glad that there are still good people that will tell you that the animal you want may be a little problematic!)

Re: Chomper - Pacman Frog
Thank you! I wanted them for a few years but they were never high on my list, so I was always deciding that I prefer something different. But this one is super cute and I love how he's trying to jump with these small little legs! I don't know why but I think that we will end with a few of them in future, hahaha!
Anyone can tell me when and how I can check what gender my little pacman is? I understand that he's now too small as the breeder was selling all of them as unsexed.

. Hey Sylph, congrats on the new animal! I purchased a four spot pacman frog as a gift for my wife several months ago. I was at the Long Island reptile expo and ran into a frog breeder. He told me that you can't tell the sex until at least 4 months of age. He didn't say exactly what to look for anatomically but males croak a lot more than females. We still are not sure on the sex but think we have a male. He croaks quite a bit!

Re: Chomper - Pacman Frog
Thanks Albert! As always I forgot to ask about a lot of things at the expo so now I'm waiting for the message from the breeder about what subspecies this frog is and what age exactly. But I guess it must be pretty young since it's soo small.

. Yep! He/ she looks pretty young. Probably about 2 months or thereabouts. There is a pacman/ frog forum you could join to get more specific information too. At this age they love nightcrawlers ( cut up), pink mice, f/t smelt and wax worms.

Re: Chomper - Pacman Frog
Cool, I registered on frog forum and will post the same post as here. I hope to learn a lot about them as I hate to have animals that I only know the basics info about

Re: Chomper - Pacman Frog
Pacmans are such fat and cute looking frogs. They always give me a little chuckle and a smile. Congrats!

Re: Chomper - Pacman Frog
Thanks! We are now getting him to eat pinkies from tongs. For now he thinks it's really stupid idea, so he also has some roaches and mealworms in his tub just in case he would be hungry. I hope he will get into the routine soon and will eat everything without bigger problems.
