Feeder size?

So I've got my new snake and the lady who had her before me was giving her pinkies but she looks like she could eat a fuzzy(?) Then again I'm basing this off photos I've seen of feeders and not actual experience. All of the dealers online tell you the average weight and length of the mice you are buying but don't saying anything about width and everything I found online about feeder size has to do with width. I really don't want to accidently get the wrong sized mice for my snake. I have a picture of her next to a penny and I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks.

Re: Feeder size?

15% of the snake's weight/up to 1.5x width, either one works. I'd say fuzzies for that one as well.

Re: Feeder size?

Hi Tori, I have got a new boa and she has been on mouse pinks and I fed her one on Tuesday and she didn't have to stretch her jaws at all and there was no sign she had eaten, so I decided to get some rat fluffs for her.

What I noticed was that my boa was the same thickness as my thumb, so when I went to the pet store I compared the rat fluffs against my thumb and found they were ever so slightly bigger than my thumb, so she will be getting one on Sunday.

Re: Feeder size?

I'd say that one could easily eat fuzzies and probably hoppers.
