I plan on purchasing everything I need for my new hoggie this weekend and I had read that they are diurnal, and do best when provided day/night light schedules? I guess my question is, how would I go about doing this while she is still a hatchling (and in a 5 liter tub)? Would this kind of light hurt her eyes? She will be staying in my room with little natural light so I hate that it would be dark all the time. Or could I possibly place a desk lamp focused on her tub and put that on a timer?
Ah. Yeah that's the thing. No natural light really coming to this room haha. However I did figure out a solution! She's staying in a tub in my bookcase so I bought a stick on LED and placed it on the underside of a bookshelf shelf and my tub will go right beneath (with the lid on of course so the light can't fall inside the tub and injure her).
