What kind of snake

Came across this guy walking at my pond. By sure what kind of snake it is. If was almost 5 feet long and the tail fades to a black.

It's a bit difficult to tell from the photo, but with the pattern, the shape of the head, and the blunt blackish tail, it sure looks like a Rattlesnake to me.
