That 2nd mamushi had a nice looking pattern. You've got some nice consistent herping spots all over the world. Thanks for keeping us part of it.

could the color difference in the 2nd mamushi mean 1 is a male the other a female? really appreciate your videos.

Thanks for watching. I ended up finding a shed skin of the first one about a week later. So maybe they will look the same after shedding. Or maybe one's male and the other female. I haven't seen the first one since shedding. I won't get back to Japan until the 14th. I'm hoping to find some local snakes here in southern California, but it's a tough time of year!
