Snake ID please

Hello,
I found this little snake in the yard today. It's small as you can see by the blades of grass, aboit 8 to 10 inches long. Can someone ID it for me. Thanks for your help.

Re: Snake ID please

It's hard for me to make out details but it looks like some type of Legless Lizard - where are you located?

Definitely a Glass Lizard, awesome find. With a location we may be able to nail down the species.

Re: Snake ID please

I agree, this is not a snake but rather a legless lizard. Completely harmless and in fact beneficial.
