Hey guys. I am 1 proud mumma right now. As you all know a few days ago i put a post up about other opinions on whether my girl was going into shed. so it has been a couple days since her eyes cleared and as i peered into mercy's tank i could see a white strip and noticed she has just had her first ever shed with me in my care! She is my first pet snake and i have only had her for about 1 month and already i have found this experience to be extremely rewarding and amazing. She had a perfect 1 piece shed. I kept reading about with carpets with each shed it's like a little surprise and that is definitely the truth! she was tan and now she is a vibrant black and white she looks amazing
Is she an axantic or something? She looks grey. Which is beautiful btw, just curious.
As far as I'm concerned no, I didn't really dig much into that side of things upon getting her from her previous owner. The reason behind her colouring of her black & grey is because she is a julatten. I probably should have used my words more accurately she is in fact black and grey I just happened to type white. grey/white kind of the same thing to me just different shade hence why I was a little loose with my words on her colouring
There are a lot of locales of carpets in Australia that aren't available elsewhere. Also, I think that the yellow that we're used to seeing in the US is a result of there being a lot of IJ carpets and crosses. Someone from Oz could give a more accurate accounting.
Oh, no worries, I was just wondering about the color a bit more. Chairman hot it right in that I am used to IJs and other crosses that exibit a yellow or brown coloration. =)

Anytime . Yeah the yellow & black/brown are so common it's nice to have a python that not everyone sees all the time
