New to forum

Hi all, I joined the forum hoping to get some input about my Mexican King Snake. He seems to be constipated. I have tried giving him 15 min warm water baths for 3 days now. He has not pooped in over a week. He is about 8 months old. Not sure at what point I need to consider the vet.

I also have a blue tongue skink and a crested gecko.

Re: New to forum

Welcome and best wishes Churton. A week without pooping doesn't sound unusual. Are your temps and humidity on par? Is there a hard lump near the snake's vent? Could he be getting ready for a shed? There are a few reasons why it hasn't gone potty. I wouldn't worry yet. Just keep a close eye on him.

+1 with what Ziggy said. The other question I have is have you gone to a larger food size? That will increase the time between poops.
Oh, and welcome!

Re: New to forum

Welcome to the forum. Absolutely 1 week is no time for a snake to go without defecating. They all hold on to it for various reasons. Doesn't necessarily mean there is something wrong. Relax and keep an eye out. Lol.
