Its finally done, sort of.
So a few months ago I decided to build my corn snake and Imperial Pueblan their new cages. Besides being something more specialized than a fish tank, I wanted to create something that I could display proudly. I am big into recycling for many reasons including saving money. Hence I went on craigslist to find a free source of wood. I ended up with a entertainment center from some nice folks. Between disassembly and other unforeseen issues, starting from scratch would have been easier but that is not the point. After finally getting all the pieces together I decided it did not look clean enough so I framed it using molding. The doors are acrylic on a piece of channeled aluminum (thanks everyone for their suggestions). I still need to finish the other enclosure but now that I have done it once I am expecting it to go much more smoothly. Here is what it started as and the final product. The table it sits on is a cheapo from Wal-mart.

Re: Its finally done, sort of.
Very nice. I love the more natural looking setups, but I've stopped using fake plants because they can be a pain to clean.
