Injured pickerel frog

Hi. I haven't been on in a long time. Hope everyone's well. I found an injured pickerel frog - cut under chin, some skin loss, fairly deep. The frog was hopping as usual, and is still acting and moving normally. I have the frog in a tank, lights off, right now (evening). It has clean grass / sm. amt of water lining tank bottom plus water bowl and rock. I put Neosporin on the frogs' cuts (doesn't stick well on moist frog though). I can bring frog to Wildlife Rehab. (Tufts) tomorrow an hour away. Does anyone know - can frogs get stitches? Does anyone know anything about dealing with injured frogs in general?

I knew that would be a tough one to answer. I brought the frog to Tufts wildlife rehab and they gave him stitches. They put him under firsrt. They will release him to the wild! The frog also had a broken toe so they are trying to figure out how to deal with that.

Frogs usually heal up on their own just fine, frogs with serious injuries can usually not be helped (I've had a pet frog with a broken leg, the vet cut his leg off as he did not need to escape from anything being a pet anyway). As long as its not impaired in movement or bleeding heavily, you should just take them to a quiet place and let them go. Stress of being captured can often do more harm than good.
