Little Anakin has grown. He enjoyed the outdoors yesterday, and climbed a tree.

Pardon me for not knowing too much yet about snakes, but what are those squares/ grid on the lower jaw below the eye?

Those are heat pits, the heat-sensitive organs snakes use to aid in finding prey.

Thanks all He's a coastal carpet python from what I know. The person I bought him from got him from a reptile show but turned out he was a male so there was no room in his plans for him.
