Lower temps during the night..

Hey,

I was fidling around with temps and wondered... right now .. on a 24 hour basis, the AIR environement in my trig is 81F .. with on basking spot high of 86 and an other basking spot high of 96..

First of all do this seem well or should I change it a bit..

I have read that I should lower it the the low 70's during the night (as long as my water temps are high.. do u think i should or keep it on a 24 hour basis..

Looking for some oppinions..

Tx Dom

.... During the day I keep my Trigs. in an 80F or so air temped enclosure. 2 hot spots (100F and a 90F), Water temp is always, day or night, 75F. At night all the lights go out and it the air temp. reaches about 70F. Give or take. The water is still 75F.

From what I got from your post, you keep everything the same; day and night and I assume you are using red or blue bulbs?
...Personally, I would let it get down to the 70's at night but if your animals are doing fine and the lights are colored at night then I see no problem.

::Side note:: The constent warm environment will mean you have to feed more often being they are diguesting faster, and from what I hear it's not a good thing. I guess because of the quick growth, diguestion the animals don't get all the nutrients they should be getting..

Xain
