Odd Eating Behavior??

Just fed my snakes and my BP took his food like normal (f/t medium rat) but instead of strike and coil (which is what he has always done before) he just took it and has been carrying it around his tank and banging it on things? I have to run to work as unfortunately I wasn't expecting this to be an issue...will update on whether or not he's eaten it when I get home or I will have my sister check.

Any thoughts on this behavior?

Re: Odd Eating Behavior??

Probably moving around to get into a comfortable position to start the swallowing process. Remember that the act of swallowing is a reflex that takes time in snakes. Definitely they have to feel comfortable for it to begin.
