What all is considered a bad shed

My Garter shed shortly after I got him. First week of October +/- a day or so. He hasn't shed since. Unless it's under the Aspen somewhere, but he never borrows. Great eater. He looks kinda dull and has been rubbing his head against his water bowl some the last week or so. Anything I should be worried about or something else I need to look for?

Re: What all is considered a bad shed

Simply put, its when the snake or reptile tries to shed and not all of the old skin comes off. You can look up pics on google image to get an idea. Your snake sounds fine. You could always ad a humid hide box if you are worried. An appropriately sized tupperware with a hole in it and damp moss inside would work fine.
