Quick question about new hognose

I got my new hoggie on the 12th and was wondering about typical hognose behavior. He has stayed in hiding in his soil the entire time I've had him. I've dug him up once and he doesn't move much. Tongue flicks and everything, just slow to get going. Should I be concerned?

Re: Quick question about new hognose

Not every snake is as active as the other, if his temperature and surroundings are good i wouldn't worry about it. Some hogs just prefer to stay burrowed.

Re: Quick question about new hognose

He might burrow less as time goes on, too. My King was a tunneling fiend for the first month or so, and then chilled out considerably.
