Re: Not bad
hey you should join some of the other locals sometime to look for herps, I know a few that go out your way quite often. Have you tried looking for Regal Ringnecks in your area yet or longnosed snakes?

I have yet to find either of those. Ringnecks are definately on my list. I've mostly found bullsnakes and rattlers with a few racers occasionally out this way. I'd love to get out there with others though. I mostly get out with my 5 yr old daughter so the trips are usually kinda short. We have fun though.

Re: Not bad
Just got back from a quick run to St george with my two oldest boys 5 and 4, they had a blast. Good to hear you take your daughter along, time well spent. Have you found any boas yet, nightsnakes, whipsnakes, or greensnakes all which can be found in Utah or SL county. I know this herping year is starting to wind down in the next month or so, but next year feel free anytime to give me a call. Be great to help you find some other interesting herps. I know a very good road for cruising longnosed snakes as well another for cruising boas.

Re: Not bad
My daughter and even my 2yr old son have been loving snake finding since the first one I caught to show them. I have found a couple boas, green snakes and whip snakes but it's been a while abd I'm always open to suggested places. Thanks for all the info.

Re: Not bad
Glad to see some other Great Basin herpers here. You found that spider near Tooele? Yikes! I found a long-nosed west of Delta several years ago but haven't seen one since.

I did find him near tooele. That's only the second tarantula I've ever found but he was a big one.
