Very nice tiger!!~!!
You know what? I have heard and seen so many tigers.....but I have not yet heard of one that is considered to be tame at all.......
I guess you are the first one!!!
Cause from my impression these guys/gals are nasty little bitters......
but since you said that your is tame I guess that you handle them a lot and that's why they calmed down a lot?????? I don't really know....cause I have only seen super aggressive ones....lol
oh well

He's a handsome, healthy-looking fellow, that's for sure. I particularly like the thin stripe down his spine.
Concerning aggressiveness in Spilotes; I only have a yearling pair and I've never owned the species before, but I've found my two to be fairly easy-going considering that they are a relatively nervous snake by nature.
My male will sometimes rattle his tail when I pick him up, but he does not try to bite. The female's a bit more nervous. She always rattles her tail and has puffed up her throat at me once (a very impressive display, by the way!), but she still has refrained from biting me.
So, all things considered, they're not that bad at all. The fact that they're captive-bred, I'm sure, is another factor contributing to their relative tractability.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful pics.
Simon

That's an impressive snake regarding size and colour. Is great to see a hug Captive Born snake. Not many big Spilotes are CB, mostly WC. Hopefully you'll find a nice and big female to go with him too.

I just remembered....
Has anyone seen the Tiger Rats at the Toronto Zoo? I believe they had two last time I was there, and both were perched high up in hanging plant baskets.

Yes Vanan, tiger rat CB is not very common and I bought the only one I saw :P My tiger is one of the Philippe Blais's first clutch, but I don't know the Locality The only thing I know is that it's parents come from Nicaragua.
