infection or burn

Iv got a royal python (male) and on a certain part of his body he has a browny red patch with scabs on it I dont know what it is what to do and how to treat it and im worried

We need pictures if you want accurate advice. I would say an infection is more likely though from what you're describing.

If you're really worried about it, contact your exotics vet, have them look at it for best advice. We'll need pics though, hope it isn't too serious :/

I havent got a heat rock and he's shedding so I dont want to touch him yet but will get pictures

its not a great picture,but it looks like a healing burn to me mate

just keep an eye on it

when the scabs come off sometimes there can be raw graized patches,just keep it clean and look out for infection

i use a diluted iodine solution twice daily until the raw parts heal

you should see a big difference after its next shed
