Humidity guage and Tub size

Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend a digital humidity gauge (specifically for a ball python)?

Also, what size tub do you guys recommend for a yearling ball python (about 1.5ft long)?

Last, what do you guys recommend for a moist hide? I currently use a rubbermaid container with wet folded napkins and that works perfect for my king and milk snake. Would i be able to do the same for a ball python?

thank you

Re: Humidity guage and Tub size

Hi there, Nyjon.

As far as the humidity gauge goes, I personally don't use them. My room where I keep my snakes stays at a constant 30-50% so I only mist when they're in shed and a couple times a week if that. From what I have heard, the Exo Terra Digital Hygrometer works well.

For a yearling, I would suggest a 28qt tub.

You can try the same method with your ball as you do your milk and king.

Best of luck in your endeavors!

I use damp sphagnum moss in my hides during shed cycles.
