So just caught a carpet python in my backyard

I'm wondering if it will be okay overnight in a blanket cover (tied) inside of a cage.

I don't understand, why don't you just let it go?

I would never keep one without heat but then again I don't know what the temps are like at night in australia, also if you want a carpet get captive bred, why worry about parasites that it might have, parasites=vet bills
