I wish everyone could see snakes through the eyes of a child...
This picture was taken back in 2004, and it is my absolute favorite...I truly wish people could see snakes, and reptiles in general, like my niece did, and still does, to this day....with absolute fascination and no fear

Re: I wish everyone could see snakes through the eyes of a child...
Beautiful photo that captures the wonder of a child. I raised my daughter and son to not be afraid of snakes and to look at them as beautifully adapted predators. I did make sure however that they clearly understood that not all snakes are harmless and to never attempt to approach a snake without me around until they learned to recognize the venomous snakes found in our part of the county.
Thanks for sharing.

Re: I wish everyone could see snakes through the eyes of a child...
The only time I've seen kids get scared of snakes is when an adult or another kid acts scared first. We should have a kids w/ snakes photo contest one of these days.

Re: I wish everyone could see snakes through the eyes of a child...
I remember my lad bringing a book home from nursery (kindergarden) and one of the rhymes had words to the effect 'hear the snake hiss, see the snake bite'! What chance have kids got.........
