I think it was called Hidden Kingdoms, first episode - the documentary was from the point of view of the mouse, not the Sav, some awsome shots of them
I edited out the two minutes with the monitor footage and youtube blocked it for copyright violation.
The heavy footsteps and Jurassic park like growls were a bit over the top, but the whole sequence was pretty cool to see, Narrated by Stephen Fry as an added bonus.

My guess is that the rat had about 1/4 of a second to realize that he had snuck into the wrong place. That speed and those hunting skills are why lizards have been around for the past 100+ million years. Great video showing how those animals survive in the wild.
