onyx.
Went to the pet store today to get mice.
The landlord isn't letting them sell snakes anymore.
Soooo they had a HUGE sale.
They were selling all snakes 50% off WITH a discounted snake starter kit.
So, I ended up walking out with a corn snake.
i believe she's an amber corn, looks like it but is just a tad darker. Maybe a gold corn? but still she's darker.
I'll be uploading pics sometime this week.
I've had my eye on her for a couple months, just didn't think I'd get her..
I was so happy.
I really wanted the red tail boa, but she's sick & I didn't want to risk it.

Re: onyx.
Weird considering you're in PA. I thought pa had one of the most lax reptile communities(including hots)

i honestly don't know why. I didn't want to get too into it with them. I just don't understand why the landlord would have a problem out of absolute no where. they've had snakes for years, and now suddenly they can't. it's weird.
but im still happy, i finally got her. she's so pretty. the woman at the store named her onyx, i couldnt think of a name.

Re: onyx.
Congrats on the corn! I've had my girl for 10 years now and she's been an incredible addition to my life.

Re: onyx.
Do you really think adding another snake to your collection is the best thing right now? Honestly, and i don't care what you think of this, but you are being completely selfish right now. You come to this forum, saying you don't have the money or room for more animals, then you say you're boyfriend or fiance is threatening to take away the two you already have if the both of you separate. You truly are not thinking about what is best for your animals or the new addition, it is all about what you want.....I feel truly sorry for the animals in your care...

Are you suggesting she be responsible and enjoy the reptiles she has before running out and buying more? I.. I don't even know what to think of that.
