Help?

I have a ball python and it happened to come with feeder mice, I'm horribly allergic to rats and mice so Im giving them to a friend for his snake, the only small rodent I can think of that I'm not allergic to is hamsters, but I've heard they can really bite snakes and put up more of a fight than rats and mice, also my snake only eats live food, do you guys know a humaine way to knock them out or have any suggestions of what I should do?

Re: Help?

Just a question, but why would you get a pet that feeds on things you are allergic to? Try hairlesa rats...totally hypo-allergenic...BP's need rats for food...it would take multiple hamsters to make a meal...

Well when I first got my snake I wasn't allergic to mice, and I'm allergic to hairless ones too :/ and hamsters are bigger than mice, all the hamsters I've ever had are only a little smaller than rats.

???????? You must have some monster hamsters then. What kind were they?

I agree with getting your friend to feed the snake.

Use tongs. I use them. I never directly touch the mice with my hand.

Yea, I know I could get someone to feed my snake, I'll just have to pay someone to take care of the mice XD

Re: Help?

My kids teddy bear hamsters were barely bigger than mice...try ordering frozen online...keep them in the freezer and use tongs to feed...no reaction...
