Re: 40 gallon breeder
Wouldn't recommend it. Glass tanks are not very suitable for environmentally sensitive snakes... especially for new keepers.

It can work for any snake as long as you set it up properly(to maintain heat/humidity and covered sides to add security). Many people just have problems maintaining the right conditions with glass tank and screen tops.

Re: 40 gallon breeder
I have Milks, Corns, Pythons and Boas all in glass enclosures, just cover the back and two sides with something, paper or I used peel and stick .99 floor tile and the are pretty happy.

???????? I thought all you had was a corn snake lol.
I agree that a modified fish tank can work for high humidity animals but less work with enclosures that are already designed for it.

A 40 gallon is not big enough to accomodate "big" boas and pythons.
Smaller subspecies of bci that could fit in a 40 gallon are sonoran desert bci, cay caulker bci, crawl cay bci....etc(Dwarf boas). Just do your research!
Smaller species/subspecies of python that could fit in a 40 gallon are Anteresia pythons(childrens, spotted, stimsons, anthill...etc), small locality jungle carpet pythons such as tully, palmerston...etc.

Talk to Nick Mutton from inlandreptile.com. He has palmerstons available. If you want a tully see if he can import them for you from Paul Harris in the UK.
