Strange looking scale. What's wrong?

Hello! This afternoon I noticed that my snake had a strange looking scale just above his eye. I believe that this abnormality is limited to just ONE scale. It looks very dry and rough. He doesn't seem stressed; eating fine; pooping and peeing fine; no behavioral problems.

I have had some humidity issues in the last fews week; I've been need to warm his enclosure with a lamp, but it's been drying the air out. Could this be a humidity issue?

He's a little older now, about three or four years, so he hasn't been shedding often like he used to when he was younger. Could this just be an old scale that will come off during his next shed?

Maybe this is a bigger problem all together. (I seriously, seriously, seriously hope not.) Gimme some good news, please!!!

I'll insert the photo in my next post.

Unfortunately, this is as best picture I could get. Sorry!
If you need a better photo, let me know and I'll try again (to my snake's dismay.)
