Question hi newbie here

Hello I'm a newbie and I was just trying to see if anyone wanted a baby copperhead. I found it in my driveway. I live in Louisiana. Please let me know. Thanks.

Why would you sell a venomous snake you found in your driveway? Just release it.

Hello, I wasn't trying to sell it I just wanted to see if someone wanted it. I just didn't really know what to do with it because I have young kids but I didn't want to kill it. So I was just checking.

Re: hi newbie here

Are you sure it's a copperhead? I understand your concerns about releasing this snake close to home if it is a copperhead. How did you ID it? A picture posted here would verify. If it's not just let it go in the yard.
If it is call any nature center, herp clubs, zoos, ect. in your area.Post on Craigslist. Or take a short road trip. And again Thanks for your compassion, understanding and thoughtfulness in not destroying this snake.

Re: hi newbie here

Welcome! I'm glad you didn't immediately kill it like many would do I would release it somewhere away from homes, and before trying to sell it I would check the laws in your areas about selling native wildlife because I believe there are laws with that.

Welcome aboard! Thank you for not immediately killing it, many people do. Just release it somewhere in the woods.
