albino hog island???
Hey guys,
new member to the site. I've been keeping herps of all sorts for about 10 years now. Currently got desert horned lizards, eastern collared lizards, leopard geckos of various morphs, tiger salamanders, frilled dragons, mangrove monitors, california kingsnake, apricot pueblan milksnake and ij jag carpet python.
I have a genetic question to ask, couldn't find my answer on the net.
I've been looking into getting a hog island boa from this guy on kijiji, he told me it was a pure, which is what i want, i'm not interested in cross breeds, he then proceeded to tell me that it was a 66% het albino which made a few bells ring. I know of pure hypo hogs but i've never heard of or seen any albinos. Correct me if i'm wrong but aren't het albino hogs cross breeds (most probably with a colombian)?
Thanks
Dom

Re: albino hog island???
Sounds like a similar story someone here was given about their "pure bcc het albino". Came from someone on kijiji too. I need to do a good guy thread for locality enthusiasts if its allowed so people know who to call to get what they actually want and not get lied to. Check with Gus at Rio Bravo Reptile if you want a pure hog.
