Photo of "Barney" Too skinny?

As a follow up to my post earlier this week about my Dumerils biting, a couple of folks suggested that I post a photo of him with an object(s) to give you an idea of his size. Here is a photograph I took of him this morning with a beer can and a 12" ruler. Do you think he is too small/thin for his age? He will be 3 years old in September and weighs about 700 grams. As several of you recommended, I am going to be feeding him larger meals now......medium rats that average around 160-180 grams. Also, I am happy to report I've had him out of his cage twice since my last post. Each time for about 10-15 minutes. He was as sweet and calm as could be with no sign at all of aggression.

Yeah, he's a bit skinny for a 3 year old. He should be about double that weight. My 6+ foot male is about 4 years old and weighed 4244g this morning.

See, you just have to work with them and over time things will get better. Glad things are working out.

Mine will be a year old next month. She's still a bit small, but has gained 131g since May 11th.
