they look nice, is there some saftey feature to stop animals getting down behind the draw as it opens?

It doesn't appear to be one,granted the drawer slides out most of the way out and should be easy to reach in and move the animal out of the way.

Currently being tested to be sure it functions properly and safe for reptiles.should be available in a few months.I found them on facebook and fell in love with the design and how expandable and unique they are.
