nice, looks like fun, whats on he end of the string? he's lookin healthy  wots ur enclosure dimensions, looks fairly spacious for his size...is this at +2.5months, or more?

hehe. the tank is only 2x4x2 feet now. He's about to be transferred to the new tank I've been building. But I haven't gotten the soil yet for the new tank. I can't wait, he's gonna have a blast. And assuming I don't overfeed him he might not get as big as most captives, so the new tank of 4x8x4 should be quite big for him.
At the end of the string is a superworm.

it looks great, nice size space for his size, I think i may do the same for now with mine rather than go straight for the big one, which was my initial plan. urs will have great fun chasing insects in an 8x4!
has he dug a burrow? hard to tell from the vid? or is he sleeping sumwhere else?
nothing wrong with a normal sized sav imo! he looks well active and healthy, unlike some that look like they would rather just have the food shoveled into their mouths while they sleep lol seems there is a bit of a desire for massive growth with some keepers

Honestly I kind of hope that he is closer to natural size. As long as I'm not depriving him of what he needs to be healthy. Too bad there's just so little study being done on these guys. Well actually even human nutrition doesn't have a real "truth" after the past few thousand years, so I don't think we'll ever know what's good or not but I'm going off topic hahah.
Yeah he's dug 2 burrows already. As he grows he shifts his burrows, and he loves digging. He looks super funny when he finishes a dig session and comes out covered in dirt. I had another sav with him before which I sold. That's the only reason I ever dug him out because I had to give it to the buyer and from that, I found out that they dig their tunnels really long. I had a hard time finding him, it goes downwards, then sideways.
Back to my current guy. He used to share the burrow with his brother(I've confirmed that my guy is male, but not sure about his "brother") He used to have his burrow next to a log, then after while he dug a completely new one out of nowhere. I'm not sure why he chose that spot but one day I came home and there was a new hole, and the old hole was gone.
Oh and he always sleeps in the burrow. He kind of figured out that around 8pm the light shuts off so about 7:30pm he would return to his burrow.

When I mean shift his burrow, it's because the new hole he made, shifted slowly each day. It was about 6 inches from the wall, then each day it got farther from the wall. and now it's near the opposite wall.
