Re: Kaetlin's Fish
Nice Double-Tail! How much did he cost?
I have a Crown-Tail Betta. Some day I want to get a Half-Moon Betta.
I love fish, I've got a lot of them! :P

Re: Kaetlin's Fish
I think he was pretty cheap, he was from petSMART not petco, and we got him and his whole set up / items and dechlorinator for 30$ or so, the tank setup was 15$ I think. He was very cheap, haha. Gorgeous though.
I don't have a current picture of jazzy, I'll take one of him tomorrow when I clean his tank. He's gotten more vibrant and rich in color. that was one of the first days we had brought him home.

Throw a pinch of Aquarium Salt in there. That'll really make him pretty.

Re: Kaetlin's Fish
hm. When my financial aid comes through and I get the check for the extra misc school items I'll look into getting more beneficial items for the both of them. Right now they're both hanging out in freshly homes. noticed a super bright color on jazzy, once I'm done with a few things I'll go take some pictures of them both! Chubs is adorable, he wasn't the most colorful goldfish there but that was why I took him. The club was handing them out to anyone who filled out a mini-survey, and I've already heard of one of said fish dying. So I picked one of the ones that wouldn't be willingly taken so he would have the best chances! I try and do right by all my animals. Chubs makes 15 animals in the direct family, not counting my grandma's dog or any of my uncle's animals, or even my dad's cat, haha.

Re: Kaetlin's Fish
With 2 different bettas I have used aquarium salt and I find it actually causes them to eat their own fins, the gold fish might be fine with it though. I now will only use aquarium salt if they have a fungus or something strange

Not all aquarium salt is created equal. What kind were you using?

Re: Kaetlin's Fish
Jazzy is a little stunner. If i hadnt gotten chubs i wouldve gone and gotten another betta to put in a second tank. Betta are absolutely beautiful fish. So are goldfish, and ive noticed that chubs is gaining a bit more coppery color on his back. Its only been a few days since i got him but he is brightening up from when i got him! Do comet goldfish like this normally undergo color changes, even minor ones like this? Just curious. once i get a little pocket cash i want to get them both more entertaining environs. Something that will float that they can bump around or investigate. I want to get jazzy a little betta hammock and both if them some bloodworm treats. (Also plan on getting goldfish safe veggies and fruits for food variety for chubs. )
