Re: i had an awesome deal!
Oh yeah! I just got a pair of yearling mandarin ratsnakes about a month ago. They had been for sale on craiglist in August and I didn't know what they normally went for, so I offered $250 for the pair. The guy said he was looking for $525 for the pair, and I checked prices and agreed with him and said I wished I had that kind of money but best of luck selling them. Well about a month ago (November) he emailed me saying no one else had asked about them and he'd take $250 for the pair. I was shocked because I had looked them up and realized they go for a hell of a lot more than that. I asked him if he was sure, and said if he was, I'd definitely take them. Met up with him and got them and they are great little snakes. Fast as lightning though. One got out yesterday and got under the baseboards and I was devastated. I set a pinky mouse in a bottle trap and just caught her, so she's safely back home. I think that's probably the best deal I've gotten.
I also got a pair of womas in trade for 3 coastal carpet yearlings from a friend of mine who breeds the most awesome snakes. Great guy, really good advice and help, awesome animals.

Re: i had an awesome deal!
Just got a marble borneo for a $100.00 when they were price at $150.00. I got a bredli and wanted to order reg borneo but he was out. He told me he let me have a marble borneo for the price of the reg. So with shipping i got a bredli {$75.00} and marble borneo for $220.00. I also got a sweet deal off of kingsnake.com on 4 used 4x2x1 Boaphile plastic cages for $300.00. still in perfect shape.

I found him on Kingsnake.com. He was really great to deal with. He has ton of stuff. Snakes, lizards, frogs and just about everything you could think of. Both my snakes were health and very active. The borneo (deathstike) ate the day after i got her. Three rat fuzzies. The bredli (deadpool) took about a month to eat but as not missed a meal sense. Eating 2 to 3 mice fuzzies a week.

Re: i had an awesome deal!
a RETF for 50 and a normal, mostly likely male, ball for 50 is pretty much standard pricing. i've even seen em for less at reptile shows. just be careful though because sometimes deals that are too good to be true are. especially in this thing of ours.

yeah, i guess you're right well i figured it was a good deal, and bp's I've seen around here are usually 100$ just for normals, unless they're from wholesalers and at shows, so if you ever have any norms kickin around i may be able to take it off your hands . definitely wanna go check out the Mississauga show in February though maybe get some quality animals there! and by maybe i mean definitely haha!

Re: i had an awesome deal!
Marvel, your snake is gorgeous but I would like to correct your information on the size or borneo short tails and blood pythons.
Borneo's usually reach a size of 3 - 4 feet and bloods about 4 - 5 with exceptions to both. They are rather small sized and a bit girthy. Be sure to not overfeed yours as they are prone to being overweight. Borneo's don't move a whole lot so they don't quite need the same food requirements as other snakes.

My bad! My borneo ate only like that the first two weeks. Then didn't eat for two week. (refuse anything ,but then shed her first shed and ate two days later) I found she take her time eating or just won't eat rat fuzzies. So i started given her mice hopper. She'll eat two of them every week. She seem to like the smaller meal. Now if she learn to eat them head first instead of butt first. Attachment 8601

Re: i had an awesome deal!
They are pretty fat even when not overweight..lol. Borneos and bloods look morbidly obese no matter what, it's just the way they are structured. But yes, they do tend to get actually overweight if fed too much. I feed my subadults (3 feet long) a small rat every other week.
Marvel, Ben Siegle is a great guy to work with! I bought a Peruvian rainbow boa from him back in March. I really would love to have a Bredli, hopefully some day soon.
